It’s not every year that you get to celebrate a major milestone, but, for us, this is one of those years. We’re thrilled to celebrate our 50th anniversary and we wouldn’t want to do so without you, our friends and community members that have helped us accomplish this feat. We have so many fond memories from our time at our little office in Sudden Valley, and we’re looking forward to making more.

Whether we’ve recently connected, a friend from our earlier days that’s looking to reconnect, or a member of the community that we haven’t had an opportunity to meet, we’d love to see you there and to catch up. This event will be a family friendly, all-ages event with free food, ice cream, and entertainment for all. But enough chit chat, here’s the info you’re looking for: 

Where’s The Party?

At our office! Stop by 1937 Lake Whatcom Blvd to have some fun. Click here to see where we are on Google Maps. Parking is available at the Sudden Valley Welcome Center. 

To make it here from Bellingham: 

Head west on Lakeway, out of town and toward Lake Whatcom. Go through the Geneva neighborhood and continue on Lake Whatcom Blvd. Enjoy the beautiful drive along the lake and pass the South Whatcom Fire Department by Sudden Valley’s Gates 1 and 3. When you see the Valley Market, continue driving and turn left into Sudden Valley’s Gate 2. Park at the Sudden Valley Welcome Center on the right, on the shore of Lake Louise. Our office is in the same parking lot as the Valley Market, so head through the tunnel under the road and you’ll be at the party.

To make it here from South of Sudden Valley: 

Head north on Lake Whatcom Blvd. You’ll be getting close when you pass Camp Firwood and begin to see Lake Louise on your right. We’re asking that attendees park at the Sudden Valley Welcome Center, so turn right into Sudden Valley’s Gate 2 and immediately find parking. Then walk through the tunnel that passes underneath Lake Whatcom Blvd and you’ll be at the party.

What’s Happening At This Party?

We’ll have so many fun things available at our 50th Anniversary party, and have we mentioned that they’re free?? Here’s what we’ll have: 

Pizza

Our friends at Tino’s Pizza & Pasta Co will be serving up delicious slices of their pizza for all who want it. We’ll have their pepperoni, cheese, and Hawaiian varieties available, so don’t miss your chance to grab a bite.

Ice Cream

The best time for free ice cream is during the summer, and we’re happy to make that happen. We’re bringing one of the Sugar Shack trucks out to our office for 2 hours of free ice cream. 

Face Paint

Let’s get creative! Whether it’s for you or your little ones we’ll have face painters on site and ready for action. Thanks to our friends at Good Monsters, the party fairies from Art and Happiness will be available to help you spice up your look.

Balloon Animals

Everyone loves a good balloon animal. Just think of how silly balloon dogs look. But if you aren’t a fan of the animals, may we interest you in a balloon sword? In addition to the face painting, the crew at Art and Happiness will also be blowing up some fun balloons, but this time we have Safe Harbor Legal Solutions to thank for the fun.

Inflatable Basketball

Whether you want to casually shoot some hoops or make up the rules to your own 3 point contest, we’ve got you covered. There will be a massive set of inflatable basketball hoops from Creative Events courtesy of Remax Whatcom County. 

Prizes, Cool Swag, Good Times

Don’t leave empty handed! Not only will we have free pizza, ice cream, and good times, but we’ll also have party favors. The Valley Market has generously supplied us with a few sweatshirts that can be won via a spin wheel, and we’ve worked with local artist Lexi Korobkin of Koro Illustration to design one of a kind stickers and t-shirts inspired by Sudden Valley.
